Dr. Prashant Kedari

Dr. Prashant M. Kedari is a seasoned medical professional specializing in Laparoscopy, Urology, Pediatric Surgeries, and Proctology with an extensive experience spanning 19 years. He holds an M.B.B.S. from B.J. Medical College Pune (2001), an M.S. in General Surgery from Dr. B. A. M. University Aurangabad (2005), and a D.N.B in Pediatric Surgery from A.I.M.S. Kochi Kerala (2009). Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Bangalore in 2012.

  1. First Pediatric surgeon to perform first neonatal surgery at Y.C.M hospital, Pimpri, Pune. (neonatal ileal atresia, neonatal Meningomyelocoele and then many more)
  1. Operated successfully on 850 gm, preterm neonate (at Niramaya Hospital) ,ileal resection anastomosis for ileal gangrene (NEC with perforation)
  1. Successfully PYELOPLASTY for PUJ obstruction in a 1 month  infant
  1. Operated Successfully on a toddler with multiple intussceptions (7 intussusceptions)
  1. PIONEER OF MAJOR OPERATIVES in Pediatric Surgeries at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College (Anorectal Malformations / Hirschsprung’s disease, Spinal Dysraphism, Pediatric Urological including Pyeloplasties, Ureteric Reimplantation, Hypospadias, etc and Pediatric Emergencies).
  1. Successfully operated on 6 months child with largest Meningomyelocele (extending from 1st thoracic till 5th lumbar vertebra).
  1. Successfully performedthyroidectomies with blood loss less than10ml.
  1. Performing Heller’s Cardiomyotomy with Fundoplication ( for Achalasia Cardia ) with blood loss less than 10 ml.
  1. Successfully excised a huge Mesenteric Cyst adherent to transverse colon and inferior Mesenteric vessels, intact, with blood loss less than even 5 ml.
  1. Successfully operated on Hypospadias and variants (including redo/failed Hypospadias elsewhere).
  1. Successfully operated on more than 1000 patients with appendicitis (with all possible complications) since May 2011.
